Yaxley to appoint new management for next season ...

CLUB STATEMENT – Friday 11th May 2012
At last nights club management meeting, the committee voted in favour of appointing a new 1st team management regime for the forthcoming 2012-13 season.

“Everyone at the club has the highest regard and esteem for Gary and what he has brought us during the last 10 years - being 1st team manager has been only a fraction of it, but of course that’s what most people outside of the club see and talk about.
We are totally indebted to Gary for getting us through the recent hard times and everyone
knows that he is part of our family and our history, but after much deliberation, the committee believe now is the right time to take stock and start afresh. Sometimes it's necessary to take hard decisions for the benefit of the greater good and we believe this is one of those times. Gary has been an intrinsic and key part of our club and we truly hope that once the dust settles and the emotion dies down, he will continue to be so.”

The club invites written applications for the position of 1st Team Manager to be submitted by email to Alan@yaxleyfc.com by 5pm Thursday 17th May 2012. Applications should include a CV and a comprehensively detailed plan describing how they would secure and maintain promotion.  All applications will be treated in strict and total confidence.

A point from the last game gives the home fans some cheer ...

A late goal from Scott Bogusz gave the Cuckoos a point to ensure we are clear of the relegation battle that may or may not be. As uncertainty reigns from resignations, withdrawals and ground grading failures at the top and the bottom of the league, the only place to be is away from the trouble and to their credit that's just where the lads are.
Both the Swans and the Cuckoos had equal periods of dominination throughout the game and Pagnell shouldn't be complaining about sharing the points. Andy Furnell was pulled just before kick-off with a groin strain and it looked like another set back that could sink the team but a draw was the right result.

The end of season presentations didn't throw up any real surprises with Jones da Sousa taking the young player of the year award, Ricky Hailstone the managers player  and Lewis Stone receiving the covetted players player award.
The U18's awards went to Jordan Fiddes (managers player) and Jason Smalley the players player.

The social night was rounded off with several memorable karaoke renditions from the squad - don't give up your day jobs lads!!!

COME ON YOU CUCKOOS !!!!!!!

FANS - join in the chit-chat
