FA Premier Cup - Round 2 Holders Yaxley moved into the last eight of the Premier Cup after making their top flight status count in the closing stages of this Hall Road contest. Scott Bogusz opened the scoring after 75 minutes with the Cuckoos securing their place in the quarters with a last minute effort from top scorer Mark Paul. Eynesbury threw everything but the kitchen sink at the Cuckoos for the opening 15 minutes and even stand in ‘keeper Phil Dunn (club goalkeeping coach) was forced into a balletic save. At 0-0 the second half opened with another bombardment from the home team whilst the Cuckoos replied with a hat full of near misses. Scott Bogusz confidently struck the rebound from the bar that Pacillo had delivered from way out on the left wing and Mark Paul finally got his eye in at the close.
